Ashworth College And Habitat For Humanity Need You!

Hello everyone. I'll be following up with details as they become available, but I wanted to start getting the word out on an Ashworth College initiative that we'll be pursuing in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.

If you are a student who is potentially interested in working with us on some exciting service projects, please let me know within this thread and we'll begin an open dialogue. If you're someone who already has experience working with Habitat for Humanity, we'd love for you to share your experiences with our student community here on the Forum.

I've actually had the opportunity to work with Habitat for Humanity twice over the last couple years (in Atlanta) and had a fantastic experience both times. Along with a few colleagues from my office, I helped with everything from building a front porch, to digging post holes, to painting, to constructing a wheel chair ramp.

What I like best about Habitat is that you not only get to learn a valuable skill set (home improvement), but you get to help out less fortunate members of the community at the same time. It's really a win-win for everyone involved.

I'd definitely be interested in hearing more about Ashworth's partnership with Habitat for Humanity and how students can become involved.

I havent done anything with habitat for humanity but I've been on 3 misson trips with my church and preparing for anthor now. Anything to help those less fortunate than me, count me in.
