In memory of my daughter Heather, and sister Patty

Postby freebirdrb » September 9th, 2009, 12:32 pm

In loving memory of my daughter Heather M. Knoll, who was killed at the hands of a drunk driver on March 6th 1994. She left behind, not only relatives and friends, but her daughter Jami J. Knoll, who was 2 1/2 when Heather was killed. Heathers earth birthday was 07/20/1975, and her Heaven birthday is 03/06/1994. Heather was 18 when she was taken from us. She was not only a loving mother, who was a teenage mother and did an awesome job at it, but also finished school, and attended college to help out children with disabilities. Her best friend has spinal bifada. I believe that was the reason Heather wanted to go to school to help others with disabilites. Heather fought to live the night of the accident for approximately 3 hours, but the good Lord knew she needed to come home with him. I have a web site in her memory. You may visit her site, and sign her book at:

http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Woods/2663/Heather

Also in loving memory of my sister Patty J. Johnson who was killed by the hands of a drunk May 4th 1969 at the age of 17. Patty's earth birthday is July 20, 1951, and her Heaven birthday is May 4th 1969.

Both accidents were identical. Everything about their deaths, to include their looks, age,and the month they were born. When Patty was killed I always believed I would die before I turned 18 too, never dreaming it would be my daughter who was killed instead, and in the exact same way.
Please visit Heathers web site, and sign her book. My dream is to make Heather a new page, and Patty a web page to be remembered by. This is one of the greatest healing places there good be. To have them remembered from people they never knew, and to have them touch hearts all over the world. If this stops one person to stop and think before drinking, and driving, then their deaths were not in vane.

May their memories live on!

On behalf of Ashworth College, I would like to say thank you for sharing your experiences. Tragedies such as these are always difficult and we are proud to see that you have not given up hope. Education is a way to bridge the past to the future and find new purpose in life. By sharing your experience you have enriched Ashworth College greatly. There are many people who share a story similar to yours. These nameless and faceless students could not find the courage to share their experience until you so selflessly shared your own.

Once again, we thank you for your articulate and sentimental story. Stay Encouraged.

I'm so sorry for your losses; both women seem like such remarkable women. What a beautiful tribute to each.

My dear friend....I am sooo very sorry for the loss of your sister and daughter. The website for your daughter is one of the most wonderful and beautiful sites I have seen on the loss of a loved one. Your strength and courage is one more bonified fact that God never takes us where is His grace won't sustain us. God Bless!!!

ONLY YOU CAN HELP PREVENT CHILD ABUSE!

Image

If you need help or have questions about child abuse or child neglect, call the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) then push 1 to talk to a counselor.

The Hotline counselors are available 365 days a year to help kids, and even adults who are concerned about kids they suspect are being abused or neglected. You can call this number if you live in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The call is free and anonymous. (The Hotline counselors don't know who you are and you don't have to tell them.) There won't be a charge for the call on your telephone bill if you use a regular phone or a pay phone. If you use a mobile phone or cell phone, there may be a charge and it may show up on the telephone bill. Don't use a mobile or cell phone if you want to be sure your call is a secret. But please...do not make prank calls to the Hotline. This will tie up the phones and keep us from talking to someone who really needs help right away.
