Hi yall,
My name is Lucille Auslander, and I am from a tiny town in NY called Altmar. I am 19. (soon to be 20) I have a beautiful baby girl named Rebekah. She just turned 7 months old. She is my everything. I also have the most wonderful husband in the world, named Jonathan. We met in highschool, and started dating my senior year. (hes 23) We ended up attending the same college. I attended for Vet Tech, and him for Criminal Justice. I ended up dropping out of college because It was not the right one for me. So I applied for a job over the internet at a call center for sirius radio. I got the job! So I packed up my stuff, and said good bye to my dear (then boyfriend) jonathan. I worked there for three months before jonathan left college, and also got a job at stream. (call center) We then got a tiny apartment and moved in together. Well, seven months later, I end up finding out that we were pregnant. At first I was shocked, and scared, and that my whole world was crashing down around me and my dreams would be left amongst the rubble. But I decided to not wallow in self pity, I decided to do something about my predicament, and better myself. I tried out a couple of different schools and just couldnt find the right fit. I was actually just taking a class at Ashford University online. Although I got a 98 in the class, I dont believe the school is right for me. It would cause me to take out massive student loans, that I dont have the money to pay for. So thats when I came across Ashworth. I am currently enrolled in the Wildlife and Forestry Career Diploma. I love how flexible the schedule is. I never have to worry about having an assignment in on time.
Now my daughter is 7 months old, and she is so beautiful. I never knew what it was like to be a mother until I had my own. Now she comes first before anything else. However, An above poster mentioned that having children is not the end of the world, and I agree. I am working toward my diploma, and eventually an associates degree. She is quite the motivation for returning to school.
I hope everyone does well in their studies,
Lucille.
