Hello everyone. My name is Natasha and I recently gave birth to my first child, a beautiful baby boy in March. My son is my inspiration to finally go back to school. I'm taking the medical transcriptionist course and hope to get a job working from home that would allow me to stay home with him and take care of him myself. I'm a little paranoid about leaving him in a day care and my husband and I agreed that staying home with him would be the best option. It seems in this day and age a second income is crucial and I also LOVE working so this would be best. I'm afraid of the challenges that I will face having a baby and still working at home, but I'm sure it will turn out just fine. I think the beginning will be the hardest since I'm still learning things being a new mommy. Well I can't wait to complete my course and I definately want to go for my associates degree after completing this course first. I look forward to making new friends on here and sharing stories and helping each other make it through College! :D

Since I am a parent to a lively, blue belt chopping five year old girl, I will take a moment to also introduce myself. My full name is Kjell Arne Michelsen, and for those of you with a knack for geography, have probably narrowed my origins to Scandinavia, more precise; Norway.

After spending my childhood growing up in a little fishing village in Northern Norway. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Båtsfjord
I moved out in the big world during my late teens, and for another ten years or so, I did contract work trough the Norwegian Army on behalf of organizations like; NATO and United Nations, spending time in countries like; Lebanon, Somalia, Croatia and Bosnia.

Faith would have it that I during a visit in the mid 90s to Atlanta, GA, I met this "southern bell," and after a year of dating, me visiting her, and she me, in Norway, we got married in Lake Tahoe, CA. Thats how I ended up in the United States.

A few years ago, I finally decided to patch up some holes in my education, and finished up with HS trough (then) James Madison HS. A few months ago, I decided to step up another notch, and enrolled in Ashworths Sec. Management program, and are steadily plugging away on that as "we speak."

I work on issues related to Homeland Security and Corporate Security for a great company, called MITRE. (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Research and Engineering.)
