Ashworth College Is Looking For Student Bloggers!

Postby auryan » September 15th, 2009, 9:51 am

The title of this thread says it all---Ashworth College is looking for student bloggers! This is a project that we've informally launched in the past, but never really had the time or resources to support on a high level. For instance, your fellow student, Betty Ray Mydland took the initiative to be a blogger for us and we hope to get students like Betty on board again. I'm restarting this initiative because we're going to be consolidating all our Ashworth College Blogs into one Ashworth College Blog and simply organize the different content categorically. We've already got the new domain and I can promise you our new blog will be much improved in terms of multimedia features, content sharing, user functionality, etc.

We'd ideally like for students to write some blogs reflecting their student experience and things they are learning about in their program studies, but we also want to open the floor for students to write about their everyday lives, current events, and topics you think would interest our student community. We're looking for student bloggers with good writing skills, creativity, and perhaps most of all---a desire to share their knowledge and expertise with their student community.

If you are interested in becoming an Ashworth College student blogger, please express your interest in this thread and we'll discuss the project in more detail. If you're viewing this post on the Ashworth College Facebook Fan Page, please express your interest in Facebook comment thread. Thanks for your time and consideration. This should be fun!

Hey there!
I think I'd be interested in being a student blogger. I'm very creative and imaginative. So... Just let me know if there is anything in particular you want me to blog about. =]

Soooo..... I can talk/blog alot ... or so I have been told all my life! :D I am starting my last year of my BA with Ashworth, therefore I am a "senior" LOL!! I have received both a certification and received my AA in Accounting through Ashworth so I have been involved in most of Ashworths programs other than the high school program. I am able to talk students of the proverbial "ledge" ..... (unless I am in the same class then I may join them  ) 8-) Either way I love to give my opinion... alot. So let me know who/what/where and when and I will be off and running!

I would like to get back into the saddle again. My job has lots to blog about and this I feel would be good stuff for the criminal justice students AND paralegals for that matter. The line in which juvenile/family law and simple criminal law is in some cases quite distinctive while in other cases all we can do is look at the judge and say WTF...REALLY!

ONLY YOU CAN HELP PREVENT CHILD ABUSE!

Image

If you need help or have questions about child abuse or child neglect, call the Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) then push 1 to talk to a counselor.

The Hotline counselors are available 365 days a year to help kids, and even adults who are concerned about kids they suspect are being abused or neglected. You can call this number if you live in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The call is free and anonymous. (The Hotline counselors don't know who you are and you don't have to tell them.) There won't be a charge for the call on your telephone bill if you use a regular phone or a pay phone. If you use a mobile phone or cell phone, there may be a charge and it may show up on the telephone bill. Don't use a mobile or cell phone if you want to be sure your call is a secret. But please...do not make prank calls to the Hotline. This will tie up the phones and keep us from talking to someone who really needs help right away.
